A recessed ice maker is located on the back of the refrigerator. It helps to save space and allows you to store an additional bag of ice. The refrigerator has door-cooling technology, which uses vents in the doors of the fridge and freezer to let cold air enter the refrigerator. It prevents hot spots and keeps temperatures more uniform throughout the refrigerator.

This LG refrigerator is a standout in our tests and has plenty of capacity to feed a family however, it has some quirks that we found to be annoying. The freezer drawers aren't as cold as we'd like. The middle drawer was 41 degrees during our peak testing which is warm enough for ice cream and other frozen items. The temperature in the rest of your freezer remained at about 36 degrees.

Another issue is that the refrigerator doors have sunken handles on the inside and beneath, which make it hard for people who are shorter to comfortably close them. It may seem like a minor issue however, we prefer front mounted handles on refrigerators to make them more convenient to open and close.

The fridge is pricey, but it's worth the money for anyone looking to have an ultra-modern appearance in their kitchen. We recommend this fridge to those looking to upgrade their current fridge or are building a brand new home and want to have a seamless design in the kitchen.

You can even change the color of the refrigerator's LED lighting, which is a nice touch. The interior of the fridge has an intelligent finish that reduces smudges, and makes cleaning easy. The only negatives to the RF23M8090SG are its slightly cramped beverage center and some learning curve in opening the door-indoor feature that houses a water pitcher and a dispenser. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

French door refrigerators provide an elegant appearance to any kitchen and are a good fit in different sizes of rooms. If you're looking to enjoy the convenience of this design without the extra height, a counter-depth fridge is the best option. This Frigidaire model that we've extensively tested and has received an above average rating in our evaluations due to its low cost and thoughtful features, such as an adjustable temperature drawer.

It also has some annoying problems. Our test data shows that the FGHB2866PF warms up quite a bit in the freezer, and can be uncomfortable warm on the refrigerator's outermost shelves. That's reflected in our heat maps which show how the interior temps fluctuate minute by minute. The orange area on the upper right, which represents the butter bin, is particularly warm throughout the time we tested. It might not appear too bad at first glance, but it means the fridge is spending a large portion of its time above 33 degrees.

It's also worth noting that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model. This could be a consideration for some buyers. However, the main issue is that it's just not a great fridge, and the lack of top-of-the-line features and durable construction make it difficult to recommend it over better models at this price point.

In many ways, this Frigidaire looks and feels like the stainless steel model of fridge you might see on display at your local appliances store. It's a good choice with a brushed finish that looks great and is resistant to streaks. However it's not offering much to differentiate itself from rivals which are more feature-rich and more affordable.

If you're looking for a budget counter-depth French door refrigerator and don't have the budget to splash out on our top selections and the FGHC2331PF is worth considering. It has enough storage space for most families, and it is able to keep food fresh. Even even if it's not an energy efficient unit, it's considerably less expensive than our best-rated models.
